The Superstudio Tapes
Dates: July 21, 2017
Rem Koolhaas, Pritzker Prize and one of the most acclaimed architects of his generation, and Hans Ulrich Obrist, legendary curator of contemporary art and co-director of the Serpentine Gallery in London, have for years been carrying out the Interviews Project, a series of interviews with the most important artists, architects and thinkers of our time. At UniversoAssisi, Koolhaas and Obrist will conduct a public interview with the three members of the radical architecture group Superstudio (Adolfo Natalini, Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, Gian Piero Frassinelli), born in Florence in 1966 and still one of the most important influences on Contemporary Architecture.
Tim Power worked with Superstudio for 2 years on the late 1980’s.
His experience with Superstudio ( 1986-1987 ) and Ettore Sottsass ( 1990-1994 ), two undeniable figureheads of the last century, continue to inform the research, intentions and projects produced by TP/A.
